Jodie Wallis M.S., CF-SLP

Jodie is a recent graduate from Maryville University with a Master’s degree in speech language pathology. She grew up in a military family which gave her the opportunity to experience living in different cultures across the US and Europe. Her passion for working with children and families started when working as a preschool teacher, and continued into the fields of psychology and physical rehabilitation.

She became interested in communication disorders and returned to school with the goal of specializing in working with children. Over the course of her career, she has developed a reputation as a versatile, caring professional, dedicated to improving wellness and growth of individuals in any setting.

Jodie has a special interest in finding each child’s unique strengths to individualize therapy sessions that are engaging and help create personal independence. So many aspects of the Early Start Denver Model speak to her, from intervention occurring in a naturalistic environment to using play-based therapy to including parents/caregivers in the process.

She strongly believes in early intervention after witnessing the positive effects on both children and their family members throughout her clinical and externship experiences.

Jodie holds the following credentials:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology

  • Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders

  • Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Missouri

Jodie lives with her husband and dog in St. Charles county. She loves to spend time with family/friends and also enjoys gardening, hiking, being in nature, working out, and taking yoga and meditation classes.

She is so excited to be a part of the incredible team at Blue Stars Therapy!
