Lauren Poeppe, Occupational Therapist
Lauren Poeppe graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri with her Master's in Occupational Therapy. She was born and raised in the St Louis area, and recently moved back after spending the past 8 years in Des Moines, Iowa. In Iowa, Lauren worked at an outpatient
pediatric clinic. She was on the Autism Team where she participated in multi-disciplinary diagnostic evaluations, led parent education programs, and provided therapy for children in the Autism Day Health preschool. She also received certification in Constraint-Induced Movement
Therapy (CIMT), Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding therapy and Completed the Level 1 Intensive Mentorship at the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder in Colorado. Lauren has always had a passion for working with children on the Autism Spectrum and strives
to ensure therapy sessions are fun and engaging. She strongly feels treatment in a child’s natural environment, along with building a strong relationship with the children and families
she works with leads to the best treatment outcomes.
Lauren holds the following credentials:
Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia
Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Missouri-Columbia
NBCOT certified occupational therapist
Licensed Occupational therapist in the states of Missouri and Iowa
Certified in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2)

Lauren lives with her husband and 2-year-old son in Chesterfield. She enjoys spending time with her family/friends, reading, and playing with her son. She is so excited to be back in St Louis and being part of the Blue Stars Therapy Team!
