Leah Cummins, Certified Occupational Therapist-Assistant

Leah graduated with her BA in Biopsychology as well as her AAS in Occupational Therapy Assistant with honors.

Throughout college, Leah has experience working with many children of all ages through her time as a dance teacher and color guard coach. She values creativity and teaching children how to develop safe and age appropriate skills. During her fieldwork rotation at a pediatric community setting, Leah gained experience as an advocate for children with disabilities and created virtual programming for health education for both children and parents. Leah loves to support children in the way they know best—through interventions prioritizing play in their own natural environments. Leah is absolutely thrilled to join the Blue Stars family and to use her experience to lead children and their families to reach their full potential.

Leah holds the following credentials:

  • Bachelor’s of Arts in Biopsychology

  • AAS in Occupational Therapy Assistant

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Missouri and Illinois

  • NBCOT Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

In her free time, Leah loves to dance and spend time with friends. She is a proud owner of two fur babies, kittens, Daisy and Lily!
