Real Data: Progress of Current & Past Blue Stars Therapy Kids
The ESDM Checklist features 446 Learning Objectives (LOs) across the Developmental Domains. The data shown below illustrates the number of Learning Objectives the children have acquired over time. The data below is case study data.
Child A started with 30 acquired LOs and two months later has 140 acquired LO's. This is over a 350% gain across all Developmental Domains.
Child A received 10 hours each week of co-treating (2:1) ESDM Therapy from Blue Stars Therapy.
Child B started with 26 acquired LOs and just over 4 months later has 169 acquired LO's. This is over a 550% gain across all Developmental Domains.
Child B received 8 hours each week of co-treating (2:1) ESDM Therapy from Blue Stars Therapy and 1 hour of Parent Empowerment Program each week.
Child C started with 74 acquired LOs and just a little over seven months later has 303 acquired LO's. This is an overall gain of 310% across all Developmental Domains.
Child C received 8 hours each week of co-treating (2:1) ESDM Therapy from Blue Stars Therapy and 1 hour of Parent Empowerment Program each week.
Child D started with 122 acquired LOs (27.6% of all LOs) and initially received 2 co-treating hours a week in the school environment until a temporary increase was recommended from 6/28/16-8/8/16 to 8 hours per week of co-treating ESDM Therapy from Blue Stars Therapy in the home environment.
During this temporary increase, approximately an 18% gain was made in 1.5 months. Child then received 2 hours OT and 2 hours ST in the school environment from 8/8/16-3/11/16 with approximately 5% gains per month in skills.
Per Blue Stars Therapy recommendation, Child D's hours were increased back to 8 hours starting on 3/11/17. Child is then experienced a 15% increase in skills each month since increasing hours.
In 1.5 years with Blue Stars Therapy, with various combinations of hours and services, Child D has over a 240% increase in skills and acquired now 94% of all the ESDM LOs.
Child D is currently thriving in a mainstream classroom in one of St. Louis's top private schools without additional therapy supports!
Child E started with 45 acquired LOs and four months later has 176 acquired LO's. This is an overall gain of 291% across all Developmental Domains.
Child E received 5 hours each week of ESDM Therapy and 1 hour of Parent Empowerment Program each week from 6/20/17-8/20/17. Child increased to 8 hours co-treating ESDM therapy and continued participation in Parent Empowerment Program
Child F started with 20 acquired LOs and three months later has 114 acquired LO's. This is an overall gain of 470% across all Developmental Domains.
Child F received 11 hours each week of ESDM co-treating therapy and 1 hour each week of Blue Stars Therapy's Parent Empowerment Program.
