What to expect
Every diagnosis, whether expected or not, comes with a degree of uncertainty. At Blue Stars Therapy, we understand that much of the early intervention process may be unfamiliar, opaque and even confusing, which is why we prioritize consultation with our clients. Every child's support needs are different, but some of the stages you can expect to experience are:
-
concern
-
diagnosis
-
consultation
-
evaluation / assessment
-
treatment plan
-
parent coaching and training
-
direct therapy
-
on-going reporting and analysis
-
modifications to treatment plan

Often times, parents and loved ones need guidance on how best to navigate the plethora of resources available – with decades of combined experience across all aspects of the early intervention field, Blue Stars Therapy can help guide you to an approach specific to your unique situation. One of the most prominent and frequent questions asked is: how can we ensure our child gets the best possible care?
Research has proven that children who received ESDM, compared with children who received community-intervention, showed the following:
-
↑ Cognitive skills
-
↑ Language abilities
-
↑ Adaptive behaviors
-
↓ Autism symptoms
